Gatty James migrated to the United States from Tobago in 1966 with the aim to broaden his views about the challenges by which human deliverance are inhibited in the Americas. Migrating to an alien land without a well-grounded high school education did not prevent Mr. James from earning a Bachelors of Science in Business at Medgar Evers College of the City University of New York in 1974.

Between 1975 and 1980, Mr. James undertook graduate studies at Long Island University, where he earned masters degrees in Accounting and Taxation and a Masters in Business Administration.  After completing those degrees, he devoted his life to the exploration of methods by which Africans in the Americas could implement self reliant kingdoms by which they could enhance their life qualities in that their environments.

His quest to visualize ways that Africans who abide in the Americas could build better lives in their environments sent Mr. James to begin his Journey into Jesus’ teachings on kingdom building, the roles that churches play as supporters of that concept and its relationship to human deliverance in the world. This led Mr. James to answer God’s call to be a Minister of the Gospel and to create Redemption Community World Ministries, Inc, as an instrument by which Jesus’ method of human deliverance could echo the needs, history and culture of Africans in the Americas. He is now the President and Bishop of that denomination and its virtual church, redemptionworld.org.

Mr. James has written several manuscripts on management, sociology business and religion, in relation to Africans in the Americas, 1640 to the present. He hopes by this work, to inspire positive change among such people and to inspire its readers to harness their capabilities and mold such elements into mechanisms through which their life qualities could be enhanced.
